I’ve read an article from a friend and habang binabasa ko sya, naisip ko “ako din, parang ganun ah..” nakarelate ako.. and also iwanted it to share to you too..
I will tell my own story..
I had a past relationship. He’s very kind, sweet, caring, have the looks, he was the one who always make an effort to make me smile.. and protective. I loved him so dearly. Halos lahat ng characteristics na gusto ko na sakanya but.. there’s one thing na kulang, Yung pinakaimportante, that is “God- fearing.”
Sa umpisa palang ng relationship, may guilt feeling kasi di alam ng parents ko na may boyfriend ako at that time.. whenever we go out, nandun yung feeling na hindi ako komportable kasi we’re commiting sin.
iloved him but still I don’t feel comfortable because it’s really hard to be in a relationship with someone na wala ung pinakaimportanteng foundation that a relationship must have first, walang iba kundi si “GOD” dibaaa? It’s really difficult. iknow GOD,yes.. but still, hindi ko pwedeng sabihin na “we’re not going to fall to sin”.
Temptations are like superman’s line,”I’m always around..” hahahaha! but seriously totoo dibey??
From that experience, I’ve learned a lot of things like “Let go of the things that will make you fall to sin.” It’s hard to let go of someone who’s very special to you, a relationship that you wish to have forever , someone you love but it’s the reason why you fall to sin, sooo let go of it.
I’ve decided to end our relationship not because i don’t love him anymore but we both have to let go of it before pa dumating sa point na masira kami. Ayon nga sa article na nabasa ko.. “we’re not fire proof..” Facing temptations, it’s not our battle but GOD’s battle. If I would just trust on my own and face that temptation, I will fail . That thing may be a failed relationship but it gave me a lesson..
It teaches me to focus first on these things:
1. SUBMIT OURSELVES TO GOD.
Colossians 3:1 ..”set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.”
– Natutunan ko na bago tayo magbuild ng relasyon sa iba, let us build first a relationship with GOD who loved us first!! And loved us more than anything else! dibaab, heng sweet ko talaga..haha
2. KNOW YOUR WORTH
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
– This verse illustrates how God loves us that He was able to send His only son to save us. God loves us more than enough to gave His son for our sins. God knows our value and we should also know our value too. We shouldn’t let anyone disrespect us or look down and take advantage of us (wag puro harot) . You deserve to be treated right.
3. DON’T RUSH THE PERFECT PLAN
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
– Wag magmamadali. Easy lang. (gaya nga ng sabi ko kanina, KALMA LANG! hahaha) God has a plan for us!! Nakalatag na yung plan Niya na yun.. I’m sure sobrang ganda yon.. You are worth waiting for!!
OhaOha, napaka’worth waiting, napakaprecious mo.. 🙂 Wag mong isipin na you need someone to satisfy and complete you because no man or woman can satisfy your needs and desires except GOD. Always remember, You belong to someone. God always have a plan for all of us, not just a simple plan but a precious, extravagant plan! (Bonggels) 😀 Trust HIM.
And these things that I’ve learned will help us, not to look for MR. or MS. RIGHT but to be MR. & MS. RIGHT in the future or rather sooon. (Darating tayo jan ) It is very easy to start a relationship when both of you are ready, (kung maka pag salita ako kala mo ang tanda ko na e no?! haha) have GOD in your hearts as a Foundation and lastly, right for each other (edi kung meant to be.. edi meant to be.)
Only God is the one who knows when the right one comes.but for now, i’ll enjoy the chapter of singlehood. 😀
sabi nga. tiwala lang 🙂
